RUSSELL—The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School Ravens Senior Basketball team played a make-up game against their cross-town rivals the Russell High School T-Wolves on Dec. 13, prior to the Christmas break.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School Ravens Senior Basketball team welcomed the Russell High School T-Wolves on Fri., Dec. 13, in PRSSAA. The Ravens went into the game with a 3-1 record and looked to improve to 4-1.
The Ravens offence was on the ball in the first quarter knocking down 21 points and their defence held the T-Wolves to 10. The Ravens didn’t let up offensively, scoring 20 more points in the second quarter while their defence held the T-Wolves to just three points.
The Ravens took a 41-13 lead into the dressing room at the half. The Ravens did not relent, scoring 23 points in the third quarter to the T-Wolves’ eight, taking a 64-21 lead into the final quarter. The Ravens and the T-Wolves battled to a 16-all draw in the fourth quarter but it was the Ravens taking the game 80-37.
Scoring for the Ravens were Callum Tait with 17 points, Aidan McPhail and Matt Pietrkiewicz with 11 each, Macen Birch with 10, Dylan Clune with eight, Maverick Labrie with seven, Brock Ballantyne with five, Alex Caldwell with four, Thomas Buckle and Adam Cousineau with three each and Kai Daniel with a single.
Scoring for the T-Wolves were Scott Roos and Payton Rudder with 14 points each, Ruben Jaquemet with five, Hunter Wiggins with three and Seth Gillingham with a single.
