EMBRUN – The Embrun Summerfest returned to town last week to provide the community with a number of events to enjoy from June 11 to 16. Despite some poor weather, participation remained high with many of the events moving ahead rain or shine, under the tent at the ball diamond or in the arena.
Family and community were the main themes from the week with volunteers thanking the crowd of families for attending during Sunday’s final event, a show from Little Ray’s Nature Centre.
The volunteer noted that Summerfest, which has been predominantly francophone in the past, is working to integrate more English accessibility to include the range of demographics growing in Embrun and area.
