The Editor:
We would like to sincerely thank Mayor Eric Duncan and his Councillors for their wonderful idea, planning, organization and follow-through on their “Canada 150 Celebration in North Dundas.” The first event in Morewood on Wednesday evening July 5th was outstanding! From the closed street, the band, the food, the gift draws, the tables and chairs, the decorations, and the wonderful weather! Morewood and area residents responded and it was great to see people from throughout the Township in attendance. It was also great to see our MP Guy Lauzon and his wife Frances in attendance – Guy always seems to find time in his busy schedule to participate in events throughout his Constituency.
Again, thanks to our Council, the township staff, all who assisted, and especially the Morewood residents for making this a very memorable evening.
