Russell physician, sports medicine doctor and Olympian Dr. Darrell Menard (at right) was given the Community Sport and Exercise Medicine Physician of the Year Award by the The Canadian Academy of Sport & Exercise Medicine (CASEM) recently. This annual award recognizes a physician who provides outstanding service to their sport and exercise community, to grass roots recreational athletes, competitive athletes, local sport organizations, or for promoting physical activity for all.
