CHESTERVILLE – For those who are looking for a take-out meal, with an option for delivery service, Chesterville’s C&C Pizza Factory has a lot to offer their clients. From burgers, fries, pasta, wings, subs, wraps, fried chicken and of course several different types of pizza.

The business is located at 25A Main Street in Chesterville and operated by Charles and Connie Sypes. Upon entering the storefront, one is pleasantly greeted by staff, with owner Charles spending many hours ensuring everything runs smoothly. The décor in the order pick-up area, with its many memorabilia items, catches your eyes almost immediately, with the fragrance of baked pizza making it almost impossible to resist buying a slice!

The decision to open the take-out restaurant was made because as Charles commented “I love cooking!” and has several years experience in the management and operation of restaurants. Since opening in February of this year, Charles mentioned the response and the support from the community has been fantastic. “I really enjoy the atmosphere in Chesterville so far. The customers have been very supportive” he said.

The take-out restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday, with Charles mentioning running the business is a lot of work, but very enjoyable. One of the benefits of operating a business is the opportunity to interact with people. “I love the social aspect” of the business and “meeting so many interesting people” he said.

There are plenty of challenges to be faced when opening a restaurant. Charles mentioned one of the challenges faced by the couple when opening the business was available space. The business has expanded its size to now encompass the whole downstairs of the building, with the decision made recently to rent the upstairs and the garage in response to more space being needed.

He explained some of the skills sets needed to run a restaurant include good organizational skills, a willingness to work long hours and ability to be innovative. Charles continued how community involvement “is the most important thing in a small town”, noting C&C Pizza Factory is committed to attending local events as much as possible.

“Our goal is to own multiple locations in neighbouring towns” said Charles when asked about what the future may hold. If the commitment to the community and service to customers in Chesterville is any indication, C&C Pizza Factory outlets may soon be coming to a town near you.

More information on the business can be found on the company’s Facebook page.
