MAXVILLE – Maxville Manor is excited to announce the official launch of its $11 million fundraising campaign, with the goal of raising pledges and donations by the end of the year to support its major redevelopment project. This effort, showcased recently during a special event at the Manor, aimed to ensure that Maxville Manor can continue to expand its services and grow to meet the increasing needs of both local and surrounding communities.

At the heart of this redevelopment is a vision to create a more modern, accessible, and compassionate living environment for current and future residents. As the population ages, the demand for quality long-term care homes like Maxville Manor is growing, and the Manor is committed to being a cornerstone of care in the region for years to come.

Our Plan
Having confirmed the exterior, Maxville Manor is working to finalize the finer details of this 4-phase project that will take approximately 40 months. The plan ensures that residents move only one time and remain comfortable in their HOME.

Phase One will consist of finalizing design details, building a new kitchen, and preparing a temporary entrance, receiving bay, parking lot and disposal areas. In Phase Two, the Manor will relocate administrative offices and activity areas and build a new 2-story building. It will welcome residents into the new building and demolish the wings where they currently reside. Phase Three will follow the same approach as Phase Two and build another 2-story building. They will then welcome residents into the new building and demolish the wings where they currently reside. In Phase Four, the final phase, the Manor will renovate the existing wing to bring it up to the current A standard, build a new main entrance, complete outdoor space, and move all residents into the new neighborhood for a total complement of 160 people, 38 additional residents than we have now.

A Call to Action: Support Needed Now
While the showcase event unveiled the exciting plans for the Manor’s future, it also highlighted the urgency of the situation. With a goal to raise $11 million by the end of this year, the campaign is relying on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the community.

“We cannot do this alone. Maxville Manor has been a part of this community for decades, and now, more than ever, we need the community to rally behind us,” said Amy Porteous, CEO of Maxville Manor. “Every dollar counts, and every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal of creating a Manor that can meet the needs of our growing population.”

Why Now?
The redevelopment project will not only expand the Manor’s capacity but also improve facilities to ensure the highest standard of care. It’s about more than just adding rooms – it’s about creating a space that supports residents’ health, well-being, and dignity, and one that can serve the community for generations to come.

“This project is essential to the future of care in our region,” said Amy. “The clock is ticking, and we need to secure these funds before the year ends to ensure we can move forward with the redevelopment. Without this support, we risk delaying critical upgrades that our residents, staff, and volunteers, urgently need.”

Maxville Manor is calling on everyone to get involved in the campaign. Whether through direct donations, attending fundraising events, spearheading an event or spreading the word, there are many ways to make an impact.
