Summer is here at last, and everyone is thinking about summer holidays. Activities at the Old Town Hall will be more relaxed, too – and air conditioned!
First up, Winchester Open Mic Night will be going on summer vacation and returning Fri., Aug. 11 with its Dairyfest Edition show. Play safe, and remember to keep the kids and pets well hydrated and out of hot vehicles! Open Mic Night will return to its regular weekly schedule after Labour Day weekend, Thurs., Sept. 7.
Enjoy an evening of music and merriment and “Borrowed Time” with Lauren Casselman and Tom Henbest, Fri., June 2, at 7:30 p.m. General admission is $15; advance tickets (texting or calling) 613-227-1816, or pay at the door. Come early to get a seat – this show will sell out fast – doors open 7 p.m.
While Moovies and Open Mic Night take a vacation, the Dundas County Players will be busy as bees with its summer productions and auditions. Nanny Featherbottom and the Neighbour’s Corpse, directed by Mat Kelly, plays Fri., June 16, through Sun., June 25.
