CHESTERVILLE – There was a good turnout at the Heritage Centre on Victoria Street in Chesterville for the 2025 AGM of the Chesterville & District Historical Society (CDHS) on Tues., Feb. 18.

Several reports were presented during the meeting including an update on CDHS finances, the work of the Accession Committee, research enquires made to the Society and the 2025 Spin-In. CDHS President Caroline Roberts presented a report on the activities undertaken during 2024, commenting on the very successful 40th anniversary celebrations as well as guest speakers throughout the year.

Following the reports, elections for the 2025 Board of Directors and Executive were held. Caroline Roberts will be returning as president, with John Pemberton serving as vice president, Verne McMillan returning as treasurer and a secretary to be named at a later date. Directors for the upcoming year will be Kim McInnis, Lester McInnis, Gerry Johnson, Ian Reveler, Jordan Holmes, Murray Inch and Donna Marie Beckstead.
