A very special celebration for Doug Padbury was held at the Chesterville location of Mike Dean Local Grocer on Aug. 14. Padbury explained how 25 years ago, Gordon Dean interviewed and hired him beginning a long-lasting career at the store. Friends, family and co-workers joined Padbury for some light refreshments at the store which included a celebratory cake. “Not too many people make 25 years working for one family. It is pretty darn impressive and appreciated. commented Dean during the event. Padbury explained he enjoys interacting with customers, noting how throughout his career he has worked in various departments and store locations for the company. Just before cake was served, Padbury was presented with 25 gift certificates with a value of $25 each from 25 businesses in the village. A very special gift for a very special occasion.
