CHESTERVILLE – On Thurs., June 6, 2024, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry MPP Nolan Quinn was appointed Associate Minister of Forestry as part of the Ministry of Natural Resources by the Honourable Graydon Smith, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Quinn is currently serving his first term in provincial parliament being elected as the member for SDSG in the 2022 election.
“My role as Associate Minister of Forestry is to work in partnership with the Minister of Natural Resources, the Hon. Graydon Smith.” commented Quinn in an email from his office, before continuing how he is looking forward to the opportunities this appointment brings to his career.
“With the continued support of the people of Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry, I am committed to making a positive impact and building a brighter future for all Ontarians.”
In the same cabinet shuffle, the Honourable Steve Clark, MPP for the provincial riding of Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Island and Rideau Lakes was appointed Government House Leader and the Honourable Stephen Lecce, MPP for King-Vaughn was sworn in as the Minister of Energy and Electrification.
Carolyn Thompson Goddard, grew up in Chesterville and attended North Dundas District High School. After completing her BA in Political Science at Carleton University she has worked as a medical secretary and library technician. In 2020 she graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Journalism and has been a reporter and column writer for The Chesterville Record for over 10 years.
