CHESTERVILLE – The North Dundas Rockets wrapped up their regular season at home with a 9-4 win over the Glengarry Pipers.
The Rockets never trailed in the game, scoring twice in the first, six times in the second and once in the third period.
The Pipers scored once in the first, once in the second and twice in the third.
Brett Gustavsen earned first star honours with two goals and two assists, while Maxime Boucher, stopping 31 of 35 shots received the second star and Pipers goaltender Romain Frederic, who faced 78 shots and stopped 69 picked up the third star.
With his four-point game, Gustavsen finished number one in league scoring with 50 points (18 goals and 32 assists) in 17 regular season games.
The Rockets finished the regular season first overall with a record of 19 wins and one loss. They were tied for first in scoring with the South Stormont Mustangs with 145 goals. They were second only to Gananoque in goals against (69 to 64).
The Rockets now await the winner of the first round series between the Bytown Royals and the Paugan Falls Rapids.

The Winchester Ladies Hockey League is in its 31st season of providing recreational hockey to women in our area. They also offer a second league that was created 11 years ago, called the Chesterville Cougars, providing hockey to over 100 women in North Dundas.
