RUSSELL – While an opening date has not been set, the township of Russell recently announced that it will soon be the new daycare provider at Mother Teresa Catholic School in Russell.
The new Russell-based daycare will be located at 1035 Concession Street. The facility will be offering a full-time preschool program for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, as well as a before and after school program for children aged 4 to 12.
Parents looking to enroll their children are invited to fill out the waitlist form currently available on the township website (forms.russell.ca/Daycare/Daycare-Waitlist). Those looking for further information are invited to contact Russell’s Parks and Recreation Department.
The Sept. 16 announcement noted that the municipality currently offers a full-time preschool, as well as a before and after school program in Embrun at École St-Jean and Pavillon La Croisée. The addition of daycare services in Russell meets one of the targets in the township’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.
