Remembrance Day across Canada was affected by the pandemic. Services in most places were scaled back and social distancing discouraged large crowds from assembling and taking part in traditional Remembrance Day ceremonies. Nevertheless, the Royal Canadian Legion, and all of its branches across the country held their own services in a moving gesture capturing the meaning behind this annual moment of remembering. In Chesterville, members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 434 gathered at Veteran’s Memorial Park to pay their respects to veterans and fellow soldiers. Here legion president Steve Grubb leads the group at the park for the ceremony. Morin Photo
