METCALFE – The Metcalfe Fair has been an Eastern Ontario tradition for the past 164 years.

The arrival of COVID-19 has caused many community events across the country to be paused. The Metcalfe Fair board has still to decide if they will be going ahead with their fair this summer but they wanted to remind their community that they are still here.
On Sun., June 21, as part of Father’s Day celebrations, members of car clubs and individual antique car owners gathered in Metcalfe to hold a 10.5 km village drive.
Cheryl Cooper, a director with the Metcalfe Agricultural Society organized the event said, “It is a village drive. We have asked participants to bring some donations for the food bank.”
Cooper reached out to 50 car owners but on the big day there were many more than that taking part in the village drive.
