WILLIAMSBURG–There was no shortage of breakfast favourites or diners during the pancake breakfast hosted by the Oddfellows Lodge 349 in Williamsburg on Jan. 4. John Toonders, past Noble Grand of Lodge 349, explained the pancake breakfast is held the first Saturday of each month and will continue for the foreseeable future.
He said proceeds from the event go back to the local community.
Also, on Sat., Jan. 11, the Lodge will be holding a euchre tournament with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and card playing commencing at noon. The proceeds from the event will be provided to Dundas County Hospice.
Carolyn Thompson Goddard, grew up in Chesterville and attended North Dundas District High School. After completing her BA in Political Science at Carleton University she has worked as a medical secretary and library technician. In 2020 she graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Journalism and has been a reporter and column writer for The Chesterville Record for over 10 years.
