The North Dundas Rockets travelled to the W. Erskine Johnston Arena in Carp to take on the West Carleton Inferno on Sun., Dec. 15, in the NCJHL. CARP—The North Dundas Rockets were scheduled for two road games this past weekend but the game in Vankleek Hill on Saturday night was postponed due to inclement weather. The team travelled to Carp on Sunday afternoon to take on the West Carleton Inferno.

The North Dundas Rockets travelled to the W. Erskine Johnston Arena in Carp to take on the West Carleton Inferno on Sun., Dec. 15, in the NCJHL. The Rockets went into the game in second place in the East Division, sitting 18 points behind the first place South Grenville Rangers with a record of 10-9-1 and they lost their last game against the Gatineau Hull-Volant 6-5.
The Inferno opened the scoring just 38 seconds into the first period taking a 1-0 lead. The Inferno held the 1-0 lead heading into the first intermission. The Inferno made it 2-0 at 4:57 of the second period and 3-0 at 8:53.
The Rockets had no answer for the remainder of the second period trailing 3-0 heading into the second intermission. The Rockets finally got on the board just 21 seconds into the third period as Cole Hodges ripped one home unassisted to make it 3-1.
The Inferno quashed the Rockets’ comeback, scoring at 6:07 on the power play and closed out the scoring at 16:04. The Inferno hung on for a 5-1 victory and their second win against the Rockets this season. The Inferno outshot the Rockets 31-30.
Suffering the loss in the Rockets’ goal was Sebastien Moreau making 25 saves.
