Rippin’ Racers welcome swimmers
The Chesterville Rippin’ Racers welcomed eight other teams to their annual swim meet on Sun., Aug. 18, to the Chesterville Pool. CHESTERVILLE—The Chesterville Rippin’ Racers welcomed eight other teams to their annual swim meet on Sun., Aug. 18, at the Chesterville Pool. The teams came from Kemptville, Manotick, Winchester, Prescott, Russell, Moose Creek, St. Andrews West and Cardinal. The Rippin’ Racers finished the swim meet in fifth overall and the ribbon winners were William Berkalaar – 2nd IM and 3rd fly, Gwyneth VanDelst – 7th free, 8th back and 6th breast, Peyton Pickup – 5th free, 5th breast and 4th fly, Thomas Vingerhoeds – 3rd free, 7th breast and 5th fly, Mckenna Kelly – 5th free and 4th breast, William Vingerhoeds – 4th free and 4th back, Sam Berkalaar – 5th free and 1st back, Emily Vreman – 4th free, 4th back and 3rd breast, Olivia Pereira: 1st free, 2nd back and 2nd breast, Alex VanDelst – 6th free, 3rd back and 5th breast, Madison Chretien: 1st IM, 1st free and 1st back (medal), Aubree Pickup – 4th back and 8th breast, Shealyn Elliott – 1st back, 3rd breast and 3rd fly, Elizabeth Lough – 5th back, Brooke Elliott – 5th breast and Rachel Groulx – 6th fly.
Moose Creek
The Rippin’ Racers had a busy weekend as they began at the Moose Creek Pool on Sat., Aug. 17. The results for the Racers were Shealyn Elliott – 5th IM, 4th the butterfly and 5th breast, Carter Latimer – 1st free and 3rd back, Elizabeth Lough – 5th free, 3rd back and 4th breast and Caleb Reid – 5th back.
In the relays, the Racers results were 10-17 brick squad 4th free and 2nd medley, and the Chestervegas Chicks – 4th free and 3rd medley.
