A team effort

WILLIAMSBURG – “We finally outgrew our location in Ingleside and decided we needed a change.”
After years of serving the Ingleside community with their tire repair needs, Jay’s Tire & Repair (formerly Jay’s Auto Repair) saw an opportunity after the announcement came up that Mark Pinkus of Williamsburg’s Pinkus Tire was officially retiring.
“We bought the place and moved in,” said Jason Bourgon, owner of Jay’s Tire & Repair. “This is a bigger space, with a lot more to work with.”
With their new location, the repair shop now has a waiting room for their customers, a feature they couldn’t boast about with their old location in Ingleside. They also have more garage space to bring on more clients.
After approximately two months of renovations, the new and improved building looked so different internally and externally that even the previous owners couldn’t believe it.
“When the old owners saw what we had done with the building, new floors, the walls, the ceiling, they couldn’t believe it,” said Carol Bourgon, Jason’s wife.
Jason and his team moved in and opened their business on Tues., Aug. 6 but held an official grand opening Sat., Aug. 10 to invite the locals and get to know their future clients.
“We didn’t know how many people to expect because of Dairyfest but there are a lot of people here and it’s going really well,” said Carol. “I think everyone is just happy we’re going to be continuing this service.”
Pinkus Tire was well known in the community for its work in the agricultural community, servicing a variety of farming equipment. Jay’s Tire & Repair plans to continue that work; however, the exact date that these services will be available is yet unknown.
Jay’s Tire & Repair is located at 4358, County Road 31 in Williamsburg and is ready to serve your tire repair needs.
