CHESTERVILLE – In what has become an annual sign that spring has arrived, the Waterfront Market, formerly known as Chesterville Farmers’ Market, opened on Sat., May 18. After an official opening by SDSG MP Guy Lauzon, there was a steady stream of people perusing the items for sale offered by the 14 vendors at the market, with market president Monique Morris commenting there were 20 seasonal vendors committed to the market.
Lauzon stated that he would “encourage the community to support” the Waterfront Market, while enjoying the opportunity to speak with local residents and vendors during a stroll at the market opening.
Will Stephenson, vice president of the Waterfront Market, mentioned there was a community booth at the market, which could be utilized by community organizations and suggested contacting Morris for more information.
