CHESTERVILLE – There was plenty of activity at the Chesterville Legion when the All You Can Eat Fish Fry was held on Feb. 23.
Legion president Steve Grubb explained the event was a fundraiser for the Legion with proceeds used to support the work of the organization in the community. There was a steady stream of people dropping in for a meal of deep-fried halibut and French fries with all the trimmings accompanied by good conversation and the opportunity to assist a community organization. Grubb commented he was very pleased with the attendance at the event and very thankful for the incredible support for the Legion found in the community.
Upcoming events at the Chesterville Legion include a Euchre Tournament on March 2 in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and a St. Patrick’s Day celebration planned for March 16.
