WINCHESTER—The Embrun Panthers played one game last weekend as they travelled to Winchester on Friday night to take on the Hawks.

The Embrun Panthers travelled to the Joel Steele Community Centre in Winchester on Fri., Dec. 21, to take on the Hawks in the CCHL2. The Panthers went into the game tied with the Hawks for sixth place in the Martin Division and could move to within five points of the fifth place Char-Lan Rebels.
The Panthers opened the scoring at 3:31 in the first period as Alexandre Caron scored his four goals of the season from Cayden Martin taking a 1-0 lead. The Panthers took the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Caron scored his second of the game and fifth of the season at 2:47 in the second period from Jeremy Cyr and Benjamin Hamilton giving the Panthers a 2-0 lead. The Panthers made it 3-0 when Jacob Lamont scored his seventh of the season from Robert Beaudoin and Martin at the 18-minute mark of the middle frame.
The Panthers took the 3-0 lead into the second intermission. The Panthers took a four-goal lead when Martin scored his fourth of the season from Jeremy Cyr and Nathan Brown at 9:16 of the third period.
The Panthers closed out the scoring when Brown scored his third of the season from Cyr with just 42 seconds remaining in the game. The Panthers picked up the victory shutting out the Hawks 5-0 moving two points ahead. The Panthers outshot the Hawks 45-21.
Picking up the shutout in goal for the Panthers was Joshua Ivanski making 21 saves and suffering the loss in the Hawks’ goal was Lucas Devries making 40 saves.
