The Russell Fire Department helped cool off young partiers during Canada Day festivities Sunday in Russell Village. One of the coolest places to be was on the arena floor where bouncy rides were set up and young participants got up close and personal to a python. While record heat and humidity reduced attendance, it didn’t keep away stalwarts such as Russell Township Mayor Pierre Leroux and councillor Cindy Saucier. Van Dusen photos
