MORRISBURG — The South Dundas Chamber of Commerce hosted the first annual Vintage, Antique & Collectable Show & Sale on June 16 and 17, at the Morrisburg Arena. The Vintage, Antique & Collectable Show & Sale is a remake of the former Antiquefest that was held annually at the Lakeshore Drive United Church usually in the middle of July. The exhibitors were pleased with the new location; it was spacious, great as they could drive their car/vans into the arena and unload and load all their valuables.
South Dundas Chamber of Commerce general manager, Geraldine Fitzsimmons stated, “We are so pleased that the Municipality will be allowing us to use the arena for this event every year. The exhibitors also liked the new date and we will be keeping this event in June.”
There was a steady flow of traffic and many exhibitors reserved their booths for the second annual event for next year. Fitzsimmons added, “It’s all very encouraging and we are looking forward to building this event as it has a great impact on the local economy.”
