Chalmers United Church (of the Avonmore-Finch-Martintown Pastoral Charge) celebrated its 122nd Anniversary on Sun., June 4, at Finch. Guest speakers Judy Neville (left) and brother Jim Brownell presented “Giving British Home Children a voice,” and are seen here with Rev. Lois Gaudet. The presentation included reference to their own grandmother, a BHC, as well as other BHC stories and quotes to bring a voice to those over 100,000 children who were sent to Canada between the 1860s and 1940s and most often never revealed what growing up was like in that era.
