WILLIAMSBURG – After a month of serious rehearsals, Timothy Christian School’s spring performance finally arrived. Three shows were performed throughout the week of May 1. Press were welcomed to the dress rehearsal on Wed., May 3, along with the few family members who could not attend the main shows on Thursday and Friday evening.
Interim Principal Heidi Blokland began by welcoming the audience and then the students were off to the races. Follow and Fish follows a handful of the many verses about fish and fishermen in the Bible. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 produced an evening of drama and music for audiences to enjoy. The performance combined the traditional Biblical stories with the backdrop of new age techno music, while also alternating in classical songs sung by the entire school.
Each grade had a chance to be centre stage and show off their skills throughout the performance. Highlights included Grade 7 Noah VanDyke’s monologue inside the belly of a whale, adapted from The Book of Jonah, which had the younger students erupting in giggles and the always-impressive musical talents of each and every student.
